Shake Well Coating for Pork or Veal

This coating mixture tastes better than most store bought brands, and costs less. Recipe yields more than 1 package.
Ingredients:

3 tablespoons cornmeal
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon Vegeta
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon onion salt

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large zip-lock bag; shake well. When ready to use, brush pork or veal pieces lightly with olive oil or olive oil mayonnaise and place one by one in the bag; shake well to coat.
  • Preheat oven to 400º F (200º C).
  • Place coated meat pieces on lightly greased pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until juices run out clear.

Makes enough coating for 10 - 12 pieces of pork or veal.
