Old Fashioned Vinegar Biscuits

Ingredients:

4 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter or lard
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons baking soda
Warm water


Directions:

  • Sift the flour and rub in cold butter or lard. Set aside.
  • Put the vinegar in small bowl and add baking soda; stir it well.
  • Stir baking soda mixture in the flour.
  • Beat two eggs very light and add to it.
  • Using warm water, make a dough stiff enough to roll out.
  • Cut with a biscuit-cutter one inch thick and bake in a quick oven.
