2 tablespoons fine cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
3 cups milk
1. Put the
milk on the stove in the double-boiler.
2. Put the
cocoa, vanilla extract and sugar in a saucepan, and gradually pour the
hot water upon them, stirring all the time. Place the saucepan on the
stove and cook stirring constantly until the contents boil. Let this
mixture boil for about five minutes; then add the boiling milk and
NOTE: 1/2 cup of cream is a great
addition to this breakfast cocoa.
TIP: Scalded milk
may be used in place of boiled milk, if preferred.
